FOXTEL is moving into 2009 ‘full steam ahead’ with an abundance of viewing choices that include a significant amount of new and live TV program content! In it’s eighth season is the highly popular television series of American Idol (FOX8), whilst The Sarah Silverman Program (The Comedy Channel) makes a return and we hit a fourth series of Outrageous Fortune. The Dollhouse series (from Joss Whedon creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will sound a sigh of relief for those who have been waiting an eternity for it’s premiere, and Better Off Ted starring Portia de Rossi also makes a return on FOX8.
In sport, there’s plenty to look forward to including all the Socceroos World Cup Qualification Matches in the lead up to the South Africa World Cup 2010. There’s also the AFL 2009 season of Australian Rules Football; ARL 2009 Rugby League; the Winter Olympics; and moving down the list somewhat is the Commonwealth Games in 2010. If that’s not enough for you, there’s also whispers on the grapevine of up to 20 new digital channels coming to FOXTEL in 2009 as well!
