FOXTEL Subscriptions Up

It appears that more and more people are switching on to Australian Pay TV Provider ‘FOXTEL’ as the subscription TV operator announced an increase in subscribers by 2.1% in the second half of the 2011 calendar year.

It’s estimated that 1.58 million households subscribe to FOXTEL and according to chief executive Richard Freudenstein the increase is a solid result given the tough and uncertain economic times of late.

The latest results come in as FOXTEL gear up for the launch of three new channels – FOX Footy, FX and A&E and prepare for the 2012 London Olympic Games where they will offer an extensive coverage featuring eight 24/7 dedicated channels.
