Private health insurance to rise April 1

Recently promoted Health Minister, Tanya Plibersek, has today announced that private health insurance rates will rise one average by 5.06% from April 1.

Means testing is expected to kick in for individuals earning more than $83,000 a year, and for families earning more than $166,000.
