Nokia once again retains the title as the worlds biggest mobile phone handset manufacturer by selling a whopping 470 million units world wide. The undisputed champion of world mobile phone sales is a massive 270 million ahead of nearest rival 'Samsung', who weighed in with 200 million.
Perhaps the most interesting mover of mobile phone manufacturers in 2008 was LG Electronics. The ever growing popular handset provider had a significant 25% growth spurt in 2008 by selling around 100 million units. LG were followed closely by Motorola with 99.9 million and Sony Ericsson with a moderate 96.6 million.
