One Million Apple iPhone 3GS sales in 3 Days

The new Apple iPhone 3GS has hit the shelves in the U.S. and according to APPLE chief executive 'Steve Jobs' the newest iPhone edition has sold more than one million handsets since last Friday. That's only three days folks!

What was a relatively quiet entrance to the mobile phone market compared to it's predecessors, Mr Jobs indicated by the amount of handsets already sold, that customers were already giving the new model the thumbs up.

Australians need not wait any longer than this Friday, as the 26th June 2009 has been earmarked as the release date for the Apple iPhone 3GS.

Optus have already released its iPhone 3GS plan prices and as expected, like many other Australian Providers, if you're willing to lock into a 24 month contract, you should be able to obtain the handset for free when opting for a more expensive mobile phone plan.

If early sales and application downloads from the U.S. are anything to go by, we can probably expect similar popularity in Australia as well.
