Though rumours have been swirling around in regards to the possibility of Samsung release a foldable phone, as well as recent patent leaks that show that LG are possibly throwing their hat in the ring for their own foldable device, now it seems we won't have to wait long to see it.
According to the known mobile phone leaker Ice Universe, Samsung is expected to unveil their foldable Galaxy at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 in January. The foldable mobile phone device has also been given the name "Galaxy X" by other rumour sources, though we think this will not be it's actual name.
The upcoming Galaxy series of phones were also rumoured to be unveiled in January of next year, so having Samsung unveil both the Galaxy 10 as well as the 'Galaxy X' could mean it will be a very big month. However, with both phones being branded as a 10 and an 'X', this could to lead to confusion for customers. Plus, with Apple taking the 'X' moniker for their iPhone, we doubt Samsung will go with the 'Galaxy X'.
With market analysts expecting Samsung's revenue to fall due to the less than expected sales of the Galaxy S9, compounded with the success of Apple's iPhone X, it is not unexpected to think that Samsung may try to rush out their new-concept device.
