Foxtel Guide: What's On TV This Week (January 22, 2019)

1. Jamestown, Season 2

Returning for it's second season, this British drama continues it's story detailing the events of the first English settlers trying to establish the New World. New changes are about when Alice Kett, played by Sophie Rundle and Silas Sharrow, the middle child of the three Sharrows, give birth to their first child. 

But when a crime takes place, it threatens to turn the establishing settlement upside down.

2. Mr. Mercedes, Season 2

The second season of the TV show based on Stephen King's novel of the same name sees a returning Brendan Gleeson playing the role of Bill Hodges, a retired homicide detective. 

Two years after formally retiring, Hodges is still being haunted by his final case. The culprit of the final case, known as 'Mr. Mercedes', played by Harry Treadaway, is able to still wreak havoc on Hodges' life from his confines of a hospital bed.

3. Shameless, Season 9 - Part B

The second half of Shameless, Season 9 is here! William H Macy is back as Frank Gallagher, and his daughter Fiona, played by Emmy Rossum, departs on her apartment-building venture.

4. First Man

Ryan Gosling stars as the first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong, in this movie that details the lead-up to the moon landing in 1969 that made history. Claire Foy plays Neil's wife, as the two try to raise their family while preparing for the greatest adventure that Neil will embark on.

5. Suits, Season 8 - Part B

The eighth season of Suits saw Katherine Heigl get introduced into the cast as Samantha Wheeler, who caused plenty of drama as she tried to make herself at home in the Zane Specter Litt law firm. So what is in store for Harvey, played by Gabriel Macht, Louis played by Rick Hoffman, Donna played by Sarah Rafferty and the rest of the crew?

6. Aussies in Film Pop-Up Channel

Celebrate Australia Day weekend with some of the biggest blockbusters with Australian leads who have shown they can hold a candle to some of the bigger names in Hollywood. With Hugh Jackman's The Greatest Showman, Chris Hemsworth's Thor: Ragnarok and Margot Robbie's I, Tonya, enjoy this pop-up channel celebrating our local talent.
